It doesn't matter if you're ready to apply or if you just want to find out a bit more. Come along for a chat with our friendly fostering team, who will be happy to answer any questions, and speak to foster carers about the challenges and rewards of all aspects of fostering.

Fostering open evenings

Open evening to give you the opportunity to find out more about becoming a foster carer for Stockport Council. Come along and meet local foster carers and hear their experiences of fostering here in Stockport.  The open evening starts at 6pm and there is free parking at the Town Hall.

We are looking forward to meeting people who would consider fostering sibling groups, older children and children with disabilities and can offer short term, respite or long term fostering placements to our local children.

Fostering drop in information session

Make this a year to remember and make a difference to a child’s life by fostering for us.

Come along to one of our drop-in sessions to find out more, there's no need to book. Our friendly staff will talk you through the process, foster carers will be on hand to share their experiences and some of our children in care will be there to talk about their journey.
